What is Lewisville School of Science and Technology?: In both the lower and upper campus, we will have a blended personalized learning model with elements of direct teach, project based learning, student driven research, and student directed learning through the use of instructional technology. The learning system is an intelligent blend of emerging technology with engaged teachers. The curriculum is technology based and will make learning possible and accessible inside and outside school. Students will be empowered to move forward in a self-directed manner that strengthens and reinforces their ability to learn, and excel, in a digital world. We have a 1:1 student to Chromebook ratio. All students are provided with a Chromebook to complete coursework. We are a cell phone-free campus. Students are prohibited from using any telecommunication devices, including cell phones or other electronic devices (including but not limited to smart watches and airpods/headphones) within the educational setting, in the cafeteria, or in a campus restroom. Devices are to REMAIN OFF and PUT AWAY during the school day. |
