What is iSchool Virtual Academy?


  • Texas public online school for grades 6-12

  • Accredited by Texas Education Agency (TEA)

  • Tuition-Free

  • Similar to homeschool, but we provide the curriculum. Students can work at their own pace, 24/7, with deadlines

  • All work is done from home except for state testing as the student will need to take this test in-person at one of our site locations. These locations will be assigned based off of your home address

  • If needed, we can provide a loaner Chrome book once a student completes the enrollment process



Requirements:

  • Enrolled in grades 6-12

  • Reside in Texas

  • School attended for previous school year MUST be a Texas public school, not private or out of state

  • No older than age 26

  • For home schooled students, curriculum must have been based out of Texas


How do I get started?


  • To apply go to www.ischoolvirtual.com or call us at 888-729-0622

  • The next start date will be August 19 for the 2024-25 SY Fall Semester



After I apply, what should I expect?


  • After reviewing your application, our team will verify if your student is eligible to continue the enrollment process. If eligible, you will receive a link to the enrollment form once we start processing

  • Once the enrollment form has been completed and all of the requested documents have been submitted, the process can go rather fast

  • Parents will have to complete enrollment forms and submit all required documents

  • Required docs are:

    • 1.   Student Birth Certificate

    • 2.   Parent or guardian's driver's license/passport/photo ID

    • 3.   Two proofs of residency (lease, rent receipts, utility bill, tax statement, vehicle insurance card)

    • 4.   Report Card

    • 5.   Transcript (required for grades 9-12)

    • 6.   Immunization Records

    • 7.   ARD Paperwork (only if student is served by Special Ed)

    • 8.   504 Plan (only if student is served by 504)

The following files are recommended:

    • 1.   Student Social Security Card

    • 2.   STAAR test results

  • Once all docs are submitted by parents, feel free to contact a registrar at 888-729-0622 for processing. They will review the documents, and students will receive their official start date.
